Lovable Adoptables

All our guinea pigs that are ready for a new home come with a bag of our nutritious guinea pig mix, birth certificates and their previous history also when appropriate. Any cuddly cavy that leaves through our doors are happy, healthy, well balanced and well handled, they are all washed/mite lice prevention/nails clipped.

If required we also offer a "Sleep N Pig" adoption option, where you can purchase a cage (whats called a sleeping area here!) with your adoptable piggy, the cages are suitable for 1-2 pigs to spend their indoor or sleeping time in. We recommend that all piglys get at least an hours excersise everyday, idealy guinea pigs should be able to excersise on there own time but sometimes this can be difficult to provide. Boers (boys) especially need a good amount of excersise as they can suffer from muscle wastage in there backlegs if left to sit around too much.

Here at the Barefoot Fox we do not breed and do not support irresponsible breeding of guinea pigs, there are many neglected and homeless cavies within our society due to backyard breeders and the ignorant guinea pig owner. Our views here are our own and we do not expect others to feel the same of coarse, though as most of our adoptables are from backgrounds of neglect/overbreeding/overpopulation, we would love to see our guinea pigs go to families who are wanting our rescues for who they are not what they can give them!!
